I was planning to go this past summer to celebrate my 40th - alas...but the points you make here are well-taken. I love the food, fashion (or quality of), wine, cheese, language - but the anti-americanism? Not so much. I read From Paris to the Moon and wanted to move. Though I wouldn't savor a "turn the other way" attitude about infidelity either...I am SO excited for you guys and your adventure and quite envious.
